Kangala Wash Operations

Kangala Plant is a Coal Handling and Processing Plant (CHPP) located in Delmas, Mpumalanga Province, approximately 65 km east of Johannesburg.

The plant comprises two identical modules of 350t/h each, one module employing dense medium separation (DMS) and the other module employing only crushing and screening to produce finished product.

The plant is capable of annually handling over 5 million tons of feed to plant run of mine (RoM) coal while producing a final product of over 3,5 million tons to satisfy Eskom and other inland markets.

Kangala plant employs a total of over 200 people including all the permanent service providers. To satisfy and exceed our Social Labour Plan (SLP) commitment, a minimum of 70% of employees is recruited from the local community of Victor Kanye Municipality while priority for business opportunities to provide services is also given to the locals.
